🌏 Learn Filipino for Everyday Life Would you like to speak Filipino with greater confidence, connect more deeply with family and friends, or strengthen your connection to Filipino culture?
The Alliance Philippines Filipino Language School offers a four-week beginner conversation program for adults who want to develop practical speaking skills in a welcoming and supportive environment.Classes focus on everyday spoken Filipino. Through guided conversations, role-playing, listening activities, cultural discussions, and real-life scenarios, students will learn how to communicate in situations they are likely to encounter with family, friends, and community members.
Students will practise how to:
• Introduce themselves and talk about their background
• Greet relatives and join everyday conversations
• Ask and answer common questions
• Talk about family, food, work, interests, and daily routines
• Express basic needs, opinions, and feelings
• Understand commonly used Filipino words and phrases
• Learn more about Filipino culture, values, and traditions
Students will be grouped according to their current speaking ability:
Beginner Conversation 1.0 – for adults with little or no Filipino speaking experience.
Beginner Conversation 2.0 – for adults who can already understand or speak some Filipino and want to improve their confidence, vocabulary, and fluency.
A short, informal language assessment will be conducted during the first class to help place each student in the group that best matches their current ability.
Each class is 90 minutes long, including a 10-minute break.
No previous Filipino language experience is required.
The program is open to Filipino Canadians, partners and spouses of Filipinos, newcomers, heritage learners, and anyone interested in learning the language.

• Join everyday family conversations
• Speak with relatives and community members
• Ask and answer common questions
• Express opinions, feelings, and ideas
• Learn more about Filipino traditions, stories, and contemporary culture
Each class is 90 minutes long, including a 10-minute snack and movement break.
You will be grouped according to your current speaking ability:
Beginner Conversation 1.0 – for teens with little or no Filipino speaking experience.
Beginner Conversation 2.0 – for teens who can already understand or speak some Filipino and want to become more confident.
A short, informal language assessment will be conducted during the first class to help place each student in the group that best matches their current ability.

Give Your Child the Gift of Language, Culture, and Connection
Imagine your child confidently greeting relatives, joining family conversations, and discovering the joy of speaking Filipino. Our classes help children build practical conversation skills while strengthening their connection to Filipino culture and identity.
The Alliance Philippines Filipino Language School is a four-week program focused on everyday spoken Filipino. Through games, role-playing, songs, stories, and interactive activities, students develop the confidence to use Filipino in real-life situations—not just memorize vocabulary.
Classes (based on your child's current grade level in school):
🐦 MAYA
Kinder – Grade 1
🦜 KALAW
Grades 2–4
🦅 HARIBON
Grades 5–7
Each class is 90 minutes long, including a 10-minute snack and movement break to help students recharge before continuing with the lesson. Within each grade-level class, students will be grouped according to their speaking ability:
Beginner Conversation 1.0 – for students with little or no Filipino speaking experience.
Beginner Conversation 2.0 – for students who can already understand or speak some Filipino.
A short, informal language assessment will be conducted during the first class to ensure each student is placed in the group that best matches their current speaking ability. Alliance Philippines is committed to helping children and youth stay connected to their Filipino heritage through engaging, age-appropriate learning that builds confidence in speaking Filipino while celebrating the language, culture, and traditions of the Philippines.
